Neosporin Will Help Heal Your Eczema Scratches

neosporin

I have been a big fan of Neosporin, the ointment, along with the lip care, for many years now.  When I have a breakout, especially after a night of sleeping, and I wake up to large scratch marks and cuts, I put this ointment on the spots I feel need it most, and let Neosporin do it's job.

It's best to put this on when before you go to sleep or after you take a shower. Neosporin shows improvements fast. I find that the best time for me to put it on is before I go to bed. That way, you aren't moving around so much and time goes by faster, allowing you to see the improvements even faster.

I do want to say that Neosporin will not heal your eczema or stop your itching--It's only there to help heal your cuts and wounds.  Nothing is more painful than to wake up with freshly scratched skin and have to take a shower and feel the pain of the water hitting your skin.  You want your scratches and open sores to go away, which is what this product helps do.

Neosporin's Ingredients Will Kill Bacteria On Your Eczema

Neosporin is a mixture of three different antibiotics (Bacitracin, Neomycin, and Polymyxin B)  that help kill bacteria on your skin.

The instructions include:

1) Not applying it to large areas or your skin / All over your body
- Which is understandable and common sense
- You really only need to apply the ointment to certain spots of open cuts and sores
- It is not a moisturizer

2) You should not place Neosporin on deep sores, wounds, cuts, etc.
-  I just wanted to have this bit of information out, so people are aware that they shouldn't put it on deep areas.
- Only you can decide whether your cut is too deep or not, but I have never had this problem. I just apply the ointment and let it do it's job.

I hope now, you have a new idea to try that was never there before.  Neosporin is fairly cheap and definitely worth the time.

Neosporin Eczema Essentials

Neosporin finally came out with an eczema friendly Neosporin ointment. I bought it for about 12 dollars from Wal-mart strictly because I have always been in love with Neosporin as a way to heal up my open wounds.

Eczema Essentials Vs. Regular Neosporin

The regular Neosporin ointment is not made for eczema, however, Neosporin Eczema Essentials is made strictly for eczema sufferers. Unlike the regular ointment, this one can be used as a daily moisturizing cream AND it is filled with collodial oatmeal as a skin protectant. Collodial oatmeal is the one active ingredient in this new cream. As long as I have had eczema and have been doing research on ways to help it, collodial oatmeal always surfaces as an ingredient to help the skin, so it is great that this product puts it to use.

I purchased Neosporin Eczema Essentials with the goal of clearing up the open wounds on my hands. I usually don't break out on my hands, but lately, my hands seem to be getting hit pretty bad. I used it for two nights and even with my still picking at them, my hands were already clearing up.

I view this eczema cream as just a safer version of the regular Neosporin. Although it states that it is a daily moisturizing cream, I would not use it to moisturize my body. I would strictly use it on areas that I would like to clear up.

Other Benefits of Neosporin Eczema Essentials

The top two benefits from this eczema ointment is that.. *drum roll please* ..

  1. Neosporin Eczema Essentials is Fragrance Free
  2. Neosporin Eczema Essentials is Steroid-Free

This is a safe to try lotion for anyone with eczema. I believe it is the fourth, but I may be wrong, it is the fourth lotion that I am aware of that is approved by the National Eczema Association. After using it on different areas, I never once had an allergic reaction.

The box claims that this new eczema cream is clinically proven to;

  1. Restore healthy skin in just 3 days
  2. Relieve dry and itchy skin on contact
