Blue Emu is by far one of my most favorite creams I have ever found–and it was totally by accident.
First off, Blue Emu is NOT an eczema skin cream, lotion, or moisturizer. Blue Emu, however, is a "deep penetrating, soothing formula" as it says on the jar. It is meant to be a muscle pain reliever. For example, after someone exercises and their muscles hurt, they are suppose to put Blue Emu on the muscle area that hurts and it takes the pain away. Hence, blue emu is not meant to be a eczema skin cream.
I came across this cream randomly one day and instantly fell in love with it. Having eczema makes it so your skin puts out extra heat than the normal body does. Because blue emu is aloe vera based, it is cold. And there is nothing better, especially in the summer, than having that cold feeling on your skin. When someone with eczema gets hot and starts to sweat, their skin reacts and starts flaring up into this unbearable red itch. Because it is a pain reliever cream, it also contributes to taking away the outside pain of my skin.
Blue emu has all the omega fatty acids in it as well, that are very important to an eczema sufferer. There are pills that I take specifically for these acids that I will talk about in another section. The fatty acids are similar to human fatty acids that skin conditions such as eczema need as well as improve the natural body.
This cream is also fragrance free and is anti-inflammatory as well. Blue emu is however expensive, in my opinion. For a 4 oz. jar, I spend $20 and it goes away really fast because I constantly use it. I go through so much of this cream that for my last birthday, my best friend bought me 5 jars of it. I think that blue emu is worth buying, especially during the hotter seasons. It relieves a lot of pain and hotness and is overall a very good cream.
