Bactine Spray for Eczema
The one known common fact of eczema: IT ITCHES!
Minimize Your Itch With Bactine Cleansing Spray
When I explain to others how eczema feels, I refer to my skin as thousands of mosquito bites all over the body that just wont stop itching.
When you are itchy and all you can think about is your skin and how much it itches, the thought of somewhat numbing your skin sounds like the best idea anyone could ever come up with. But where do you find such relief? Your answer: Bactine – Soothing Infection Protection (Pain Relieving Cleansing Spray)
Best Combination For Eczema: No Sting, Less Itch
Bactine is an antiseptic cleansing spray, meant for cuts, burns, scratches, skin irritations :D etc. It is meant to kill germs and temporarily relieve pain and itching. And the best thing about this spray is that it does not sting!
The two active ingredients include:
- Lidocaine HCL 2.5%, which is the pain relieving spray
- Benzalkonium CL 0.13%, which is the first aid antiseptic
The directions read to not apply it over large areas of the body, however, whenever I use it, usually I apply it to just my arms and I spray it a couple times in my hand and rub it up and down my arms. The product held true to its word and relieved my itching. As soon as I feel it fading away, I re-apply it, to continue my itch relief. The bottle has a childproof lock and once it is unlocked, it is very easy to spray it. It's not one of those bottles where you have to jam it down to get the stuff to come out.
Bactine Works Well With Eczema: No Irritations
My favorite thing about it would have to be the smell. It has a mint smell to it, which is one of my favorite scents. The scent didn't irritate my skin once. When it was applied, I didn't feel nasty or wet. I know, from my experience, that water touching the skin can irritate the eczema and cause it to itch even more. Bactine did not make me feel that way.
This product works wonders for itchy skin and I not only recommend it for eczema, but for anyone who has a rash or certain spots on your body that itch like crazy, such as mosquito bites, like I mentioned above.
I hope you try this spray and I hope you have the same outcome as I do.

Take care of your eczema
I discovered that Bactine works on my eczema to control the blisters. I apply it as soon as I feel a blister starting. The Bactine seems to dry it up and keep it from "blooming." My eczema does not itch but the blisters sting. The Bactine is slightly anesthetic and stops the sting. I think it is worth trying for anyone dealing with eczema.
